Economy
Trade in Caravan Online happens between players.
Currencies
| Currency | Comes from | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze | Hunting, selling to town merchants | Repairs, stations, teleports, everyday goods |
| Silver | A little at a time in dangerous places | Growing vaults, expensive goods |
| Gold | Rarely from bosses; very small supply | Large trades, long-term savings, guild buffs |
| Diamond | A few limited ways | Cosmetics, convenience, subscriptions; tradable between players |
| Radiant diamond | Payment | Spent like diamonds; bound to the account, cannot be given to others |
Markets and exchanges
- Each town has its own market. Buy and sell orders keep trading while you are away.
- The sales tax is 5 %, the listing fee 1.5 % (with a minimum), and an order rests for 7 days.
- Each town also has its own exchange between bronze, silver and gold.
- Players standing close together can trade face to face. Both must accept; walking apart cancels it.
Vaults and travel
- Every town has its own vault, grown with silver. Dying does not take money from a vault.
- Teleporting between towns costs a base fee plus a share for carried weight and carried money. Walking is free.
Town merchants
Town merchants buy items for part of their base value, up to an hourly limit. Buying from a merchant and selling back always loses money.
Death
- Falling costs a tenth of the bronze and silver you carry and wears your gear.
- In a dangerous zone such as Cobalt Road or Cobalt, falling also destroys 20–35 % of the stacks in your bag, and with a 4 % chance one piece of worn gear.
- Falling to a player in an open or lawless zone drops your bag and worn gear in one pile on the spot. Only you and the party members, guild members or courier you allow can pick it up.
- A pile left for 24 hours moves to the lost-and-found centre of the nearest town. Claim it there for a storage and transport fee; each character's first two claims are free, and after 7 days it is gone.
- What you keep in a vault is never lost.
